Massey Ferguson 165
The Massey Ferguson 165 was part of the 100 Series, which entered production in 1964. The MF165 was a row-crop tractor built at the Massey Ferguson factory in Detroit. Even today, the Massey Ferguson 165 remains a popular choice on the second-hand market. Despite its age, the model has proven to be a highly reliable tractor. Its relatively simple design, compared to many other tractors of its era, makes the MF165 easy to operate and repair. This makes the tractor especially suitable for beginner operators and classic tractor enthusiasts.
The Massey Ferguson 165 was available with one of four different engines: a 3.3-litre Perkins diesel engine, a 2.9-litre Continental petrol engine, a 3.5-litre Perkins diesel engine, or a 3.5-litre Perkins petrol engine. All four engines were four-cylinder units equipped with liquid cooling.
The MF165 featured power steering, mechanically operated dry disc brakes, and an open operator station. In terms of transmission, the MF165 was fitted with one of three available systems: a 12-speed gearbox with partial power shift, a 6-speed gearbox, or an 8-speed gearbox.
