Massey Ferguson 35
The Massey Ferguson 35, better known as the MF35, was a tractor developed by Massey Ferguson, a company formed in 1953 through the merger of Massey-Harris and Ferguson Company. The first Massey Ferguson 35 was introduced in the United States in 1955. Initially, the tractor was available in two versions: a standard model and a more luxurious deluxe version. Although the MF35 was not originally designed specifically for industrial use, it quickly became very popular in that sector as well.
In October 1956, production of the Massey Ferguson 35 began in England. The model succeeded the successful Ferguson TE20, whose production ended that same year. One year later, after more than 73,000 tractors had already been built, the name was officially changed to MF35. From 1959 onwards, the tractor was also available with a reliable diesel engine produced by Perkins Engines.
The MF35 remained in production for more than eight years and became one of the most successful tractors of its time. In total, more than 388,000 units left the factory. Thanks to their simple engineering, reliability, and versatility, many of these tractors can still be found today on farms and among enthusiasts of classic agricultural machinery.
