Case International XL cab

The Case IH XL series is a tractor series that was produced between 1979 and 1996. The best-known model in this range is undoubtedly the Case IH 1455 XL, the successor to the Case IH 1255 XL. Compared to the standard version, the 1455 XL stood out mainly due to modified tires and a more powerful engine. The last units of the 1455 XL rolled off the production line in 1996 at the Neuss factory.

The Case IH 1455 XL was also the final model in the iconic XL series, making it the last tractor to be produced under the Case International XL name.

The XL series was built by Case IH, a manufacturer of agricultural machinery and tractors originally based in the United States. The brand was formed in 1984 through the merger of J.I. Case, David Brown Ltd., and the agricultural division of International Harvester. Today, Case IH is part of CNH Industrial, headquartered in Amsterdam. In 1999, Case IH merged with New Holland Agriculture, which ultimately led to the formation of CNH Industrial.
