International B250

The International B250 was built at the Bradford factory in England. This was the former Jowett plant, where cars and vans had previously been produced, and where Bristol tracked vehicles were also manufactured.

The medium-sized B250 was standardly equipped with a 30 hp (22 kW) engine. It was introduced at the Royal Smithfield Show in 1955 and remained in production until 1961. A notable feature of this tractor is that it was one of the first to be fitted with disc brakes and a differential lock.

A large number of these tractors have survived. Although the earliest claimed example is disputed, several B250 tractors with serial numbers below SN 500 still exist today.

International B275

Like the B250, the International B275 was built by International Harvester at its factory in Idle, Bradford, England. The B275 was introduced in the United States between 1959 and 1961.

In the US market, the tractor was known as the McCormick International B-275. A unique feature of this tractor was its 8-speed gearbox with two-range transmission and a differential lock, which was not commonly available on American tractors at the time. The B275 was also produced under license by IH’s joint venture in India, Mahindra Tractors. In the United Kingdom, the tractors carried McCormick branding on the badges, but they are generally referred to as the International B275. The model designation is often stamped on a round plate mounted on the sides of the engine hood.
