International 946
International Harvester was a former American company known for its agricultural machinery. In 1984, its agricultural division was transferred to Case IH.
The International Harvester 946 was produced from 1971 to 1977 in both two-wheel-drive (2WD) and four-wheel-drive (4WD) versions. The tractor was powered by an International Harvester D310 four-stroke, six-cylinder, water-cooled diesel engine. It was standard rated at a maximum output of 85 horsepower (63.4 kW).
International 1046
The International Harvester 1046 was produced in various versions during the 1970s. Like the 946, it was offered in both rear-wheel-drive (2WD) and four-wheel-drive (4WD) configurations. In contrast to the 946 model, the six-cylinder engine used in the 1046 featured a long-stroke design. For cost reasons, the IHC 1046 also did not have its own dedicated transmission.
One year before the end of production, International Harvester improved operator comfort by introducing the newly developed Comfort 2000 cab.
International 1246
The International Harvester 1246 was produced in Germany and France from 1972 to 1979. With an output of 120 horsepower, it was the largest model in the 46 series. The International 1246 was the first IHC tractor equipped with a turbocharger. It served as the flagship model of the International Harvester in both Germany and France.
In Germany, the IHC 1246 was standard offered with four-wheel drive, while the rear-wheel-drive version was available only for export markets. In 1979, production of the 1246 ended and it was replaced by the International 1255, which offered 5 additional horsepower.
