The Ford 5000 tractor was produced from 1964 to 1979. The Ford 5000 was popular with builders of specialty machines and processors of specialty applications. It was part of the new 1000 series introduced in 1965 from the new Ford Tractor plant in Basildon. The North American version had some minor modifications and was produced as the Ford Major 5000.
The Ford 5600 tractor is equipped with a Ford diesel 4-cylinder engine. This liquid-cooled engine has 69 hp (51.5 kW) as standard. This power the Ford 5600 delivers at a nominal speed of 2100 rpm. The Ford 5600 features a 4 cylinder diesel engine, power steering and an 8.5 liter engine oil capacity.
The Ford 7000 was built by Ford from 1971 to 1975 in Basildon Essex, in the UK. The 7000 was equipped with 94 hp (70 kW) engine as standard. In 1971, Ford introduced the 7000 as the first turbocharged factory model to meet the demand for ever-increasing power.
