Fendt - Since 1930

In 1930, in Germany, the first Fendt tractors were developed by Johann-Georg and his son Hermann Fendt. This tractor, which aimed to replace the horse in the field, ran on diesel. The name of this first Fendt tractor is therefore derived from this: Fendt Dieselross, where 'ross' in this name refers refers to 'horse'.

In 1995, the market introduction of the highly successful continuously variable Fendt Vario transmission took place. This began with the introduction of the Fendt Favorit 926. That this was a successful series is shown by the fact that in 2016 the 250,000th Vario transmission was delivered. Subsequently, from 2009 onwards, all tractor series from Fendt have been continuously variable.

The constant innovation of Fendt results in 2019 in the launch of FendtONE platform, applied in the Fendt 700 Vario. This was the new Fendt platform that manages to connect the on-board world with the off-board world. This platform ensures that various office tasks can also take place from the tractor, and vice versa.
