Massey Ferguson 240

The Massey Ferguson 240 went into production in Coventry, England from 1979. The model was part of the 200 Series and was the successor to the MF230. The last known list price was 18,800 US$, in 1999 the MF240 was taken out of production. The Massey Ferguson 240 is a special machine that has no trouble starting even in cold temperatures. Despite its age, it is fuel efficient and easy to work with.

The MF240 was available with two- and four-wheel drive, and was fitted with a 2.5-litre three-cylinder Perkins diesel engine. The Massey Ferguson 240 was produced with an air filter that had dual dry elements. The tractor was equipped with hydrostatic power steering and a two-post ROPS. Early models of the MF240 had mechanical drum brakes, while later units were fitted with differential mechanical wet disc brakes. The Massey Ferguson 240 is a reliable tractor that is perfect for the tractor enthusiast.
