This external voltage regulator has a saddle mount and 4 terminals (lights, battery, field and armature). It is designed for ‘A’ type circuits in positive ground systems. It has 7 to 9 amp output. You can use this external voltage regulator to replace cutouts (#1116766 or 1116809)
