Güldner

The German company Güldner was founded as early as 1904 as "Güldner-Motoren-Gesellschaft GmbH". It was founded in Munich by Hugo Güldner, Carl von Linde and Georg von Krauß, but moved to Aschaffenburg as early as 1907. In 1929 Güldner was acquired by Lindes Eismaschinen, a firm founded by co-owner Carl von Linde. Initially, Güldner produced diesel engines from 60 to 600 hp, but later specialized in the construction of small diesels. The Guldner company supplied tractors from 1935 to 1969.

In 1937, the Güldner A 20 was the first tractor produced by the company. In 1958, they entered into cooperation with the Maschinenfabrik Fahr for tractor production. In the following year, the Europa series produced by the two factories was presented. This cooperation was not particularly successful and ended a few years later. Back on its own feet, Güldner presented the G series in 1962. This series of tractors was available with different engines, both in two and four-wheel drive. When tractor production ended in 1969, about 100,000 tractors had been built. At that time, spare parts production went to Deutz AG.
