The Distributor assembly is an important part of the ignition system, its job is to transfer the high voltage current produced by the secondary coil to the correct spark plugs in the correct firing order and at the correct time. This distributor assembly will work with either 6V or 12V tractors built after 1947.
The new design means a contactless (no points) system leads to easier starting in damp conditions and an all-round better running engine than when fitted with the original Lucas 40146D. 40243A, 40186A or 40229A Distributors. The kit comes supplied with detailed instructions on how to fit and wire up.
