This fuel pump is not designed to be used exclusively on early engines. It can be used in conjunction with the original mechanical pump. However, it should be put on a toggle switch and only run when necessary. Fuel operating pressures for this pump run between 2 and 4 pounds psi. ( 0.14 to 0.27 bar)
